This is a great post about leadership…
“Leading from the Middle”: “we look over our shoulders….”
I am so excited about this journey my wife and I are on together to getting our school loans paid off. A couple months ago, I posted our goal and plan to pay off our school loans. We have officially paid off 30% within 4 months. We definitely could not have done this alone and without the help of God and trusting Him with our finances. It has not been easy. we’ve had to say ‘No’ to things that we would normally want to do. Going out to eat with friends is one of them. Anyway, we are still being aggressive in getting these paid off and moving into financial peace. We appreciate any and all prayers as we continue this journey. God Bless.
My wife, Lauren, and I have made a ginormous goal to payoff all of our school loan debt within the next two years. Our total school debt is a little over $58,000. Yes, I know what you’re thinking – It is a lot of money. I only post the amount because I will keep an update of where we’re at every so often. We are so ready to get this paid off!!!
Please be in prayer for us as we will be tempted to push it off to the side and not be aggressive with it. If anyone knows of a part time job I may be able to do in the evenings (5:30-10:30pm) a few nights a week, we would very much appreciate it.
God Bless!
This is a photo of a group that worked on a house in Ft Worth on Friday, November 30, 2007 to help a local family in need. We worked with an organization called Habitat for Humanity. The division we worked with specifically is Trinity Habitat. This is a great organization helping those in need in the community. This is a great opportunity to volunteer your time to serve a great cause. Check them out.
This is our first Christmas being married and setting up our own tree. Doesn’t it look pretty? I think lauren did and awesome job with help from me taking the pictures. Lauren gets so excited for the Christmas season as many of you probably do as well. I enjoy the giving that tends to happen more often around this time of year. I love seeing God’s people paying it forward to those that are in need or may be struggling. The radio station 94.9 FM KLTY in Dallas/Ft Worth does a thing every year called Christmas Wish. It’s so cool to hear all the stories. Remember that no matter how much you think you may have or not have, we are rich. Take the time to give back to someone in need because of the One who gave to us.
It’s been a while since I last updated my blog. I feel I’ve been slacking at this thing. I’ll be putting up a few posts here in the next day to catch on some of the things happening in my life.
